Memorial Stadium @ Clemson

Jay Mohr was just one of the celebrities spotted while in LA last week. I hope to post more later this week on my trip. What they say about LA is true. It is an entirely different world there.

Thanks to Uptime Solutions , Dawn and I were able to attend a Columbus Blue Jackets game last week. Uptime has a corporate suite through their affiliation with Liebert. It was great to spend the evening before Valentine’s Day with her and the suite was extra special. Just wish the CBJ had performed a little better.
This is a picture I captured while in Cleveland. This is inside the Arcade which houses the Hyatt. The building’s architecture was neat, but the hotel room was nothing to write home about. I guess we were paying to stay in the heart of historic Cleveland. The meal and networking time at the House of Blues the night before the event was fun.
The biggest take away from the event, which was a regional event for a business group my company is a part of, was that despite us being a small company in a semi-rural area our issues and challenges are the same as companies that are large in major metro areas. In fact, in many instances we are ahead of the curve and are providing people direction. So despite many frustrations throughout the weeks, these events typically recharge my batteries a bit.
In case you were wondering, he still loves his ketchup……
Since we are in the dead of winter, I was reviewing some old photos. This one is from the beach at Hilton Head this past year. We had such a great time. Hopefully, the tax man allows us to go again this year. If not, I have already started saving for next year. It was probably one of the most relaxing weeks I have ever had (other than the trip home, but that is another story).
I coached basketball for the first time this year. I coached for the Calvary Christian 7-8th grade teams. By normal standards we had a less than stellar season. However, I can tell you that I had 8 young men who never stopped trying, never stopped competing, who never stopped believing, and for the most part gave tremendous effort.
From my perspective, we were very successful. Each player developed his skills and I saw tremendous improvement throughout the season.
I am not sure I will be coaching next year, but if I do, I look forward to having a group of hard workers back.
Here is something to try. I guarantee you won’t be able to not do it.
